I started reading the book skeptically wondering how it was going to be, and I ended up not wanting to put it down. Set in the post-apocalyptic world of infected beings, the main character is a true bad ass, yet in flashbacks he's a pure innocent boy. There's a journey to a seemingly impossible location, but you don't really know for what. The writer keeps you guessing throughout the book, and all the while I wanted to know what the heck has happened to this happy-go-lucky boy to make him fueled with so much passion, and maybe even some anger. 'Everything in Between' gives you more than just a solid story, it gives you characters that you can connect to, an environment that you get involved in, suspense that keeps you wanting, and twists that keep you guessing. I've read this book, and I imagine that I will reread it at some point in time.
